Deck of Me...

In January this year I decided to take on a personal challenge to complete a Deck of Me card each week, with the aim to have at least 50 cards done by the end of the year. (For those not into scrapping, Deck of Me cards have snippets of information or stories about yourself and your life. On any topic that comes to mind, be it about your favourite food, stories of childhood, likes and dislikes....whatever. And because they're just small cards, it's not as overwhelming as doing a whole page layout about yourself). I planned to use mostly my paper supplies which had been gathering dust, with the odd bit of digi design & journalling here and there. That was the plan anyway.

So...I found an oversized deck of cards at the $2 shop (roughly 8.5 x 12.5 cms), and started off all gung-ho. My first few cards were all paper, then as I got lazier they slowly started reverting to all digital (because digi is a lot faster for me). It's September already, and do you think I have 36+ cards done? Nope. I didn't even nearly stick to my goal of one a week (boy that was ambitious huh!). I think I've done about 10 all up. But, hey...at least I've done some, and I will keep plugging away at it. I think my girls will be fascinated to read the cards when they're older, because quite often there's information on the cards that you just wouldn't think to talk about as part of a normal conversation.

Here are the cards I've done so far. The first one is my title page:

So...it's a start anyway. I have a ton of ideas for cards, now I just have to sit down and DO them.
