Catch up

You missed me didn't you? Go on, it's OK to admit it. I've not posted for several reasons. First of all because I'm lazy. I know....that's a given...but secondly because I have actually been really busy. OK, where to start...

Oh right, school holidays. Well they panned out pretty much as anticipated. We spent a really wonderful week in Rotorua with the In-Laws, half of which I've managed to scrap.

The second week of the school holidays was all about sleepovers. Six out of the seven days we either had nephews/nieces at our place, or our kids were at their place. The girls loved it!

Brooke was happy to go back to school on the 19th, and Elisa and I did a couple of kindy visits. We were only a few days into the new term when Hubby's Nana in Christchurch passed away. So, we flew down for the funeral, and used the opportunity to catch up with the southerners while we were there. The girls just loved being on the farm with Poppa, following him around the chook houses collecting eggs in their bright pink rain coats and gumboots.

We got back from Christchurch on Monday the 26th, then shot down to Hamilton for Caleb's blessing the following weekend, staying with Mum and Dad one night. I was thankful to be able to attend a temple session while I was there. I get such a spiritual boost going to the temple - the peaceful feeling was a stark contrast to the previous few weeks activities. For the last four days I've been busy catching up on everything. Scrapbooking CT requirements, Project 365 layouts, house cleaning, starting a new exercise regime, starting Elisa at kindy by herself, paying car insurance, doing grocery shopping, attending church meetings....stuff like that. I'm glad things are slowing down now. I'm two weeks behind on my 365 layouts, but will do those in the next day or two. I already have them visualised in my head. Meanwhile here are the other 365 pages I've done:

And the rest of my projects since the last post:

Whew! Long enough? I have a few more things to mention, but they can wait till my next post. Elisa has swimming tomorrow, and Brooke has a friend coming over to play after school (and had one today too). On Saturday the kids are off to Logan's 4th birthday with Nanny and Papa and I have a church activity to go to.

Eye-candy overload, seriously Jacinda. Gorgeous pages. I love the three pages of writing a letter to yourself (past, present and future). I'll have to try that challenge sometime. There just aren't enough scrapping hours in the day, huh?

Beautiful layouts!

Jacinda, I always love your layouts! You do such a wonderful job with your shadows. You're my shadowing idol! :) I also love the panoramic pictures you use for the backgrounds. Do you take panoramic pics when you do that, or do you combine images or just use one image? Does the image go all the way to the top of the page, or does it fade to white at the edge of the picture and then blend in with a white background? Thanks so much for sharing!!

Yes I missed your blog writing!
What a lot of work you've completed and all top class.
Love the comments on Mother of the Year. Book Worm is simple but entertaining and the cup cakes were a great hit at church. Elisa is so proud of her little book - she didn't want to put it down even though she had a party to go to. The book ended up partying too! All the other layouts are special in their own ways. I don't know how you keep coming up with different ideas. I think the 4 lots of writing about yourself are just so interesting and the 365 blogs are just full of information. LOVE YOUR WORK JC
