Little pirate

I know I've scrapped this photo before, but I won a Pirate Kit last week, and this was the only photo I had that went with the theme (kind of). I love this photo anyway.

On a different note, Brooke is home from school today. The last few days she's been very tired and quick to break into tears at the merest thing. I felt she was overtired (even though she'd slept well all week), and her teacher agreed, saying they had been very busy this week at school. She almost called us yesterday to come get her from school, but Brooke insisted she could stay the whole day. Brooke has a cough that is slowly worsening too, so that has to be part of the problem. Today we kept her at home, and good thing too, because her cough is worse, her face is flushed, she complains of a sore head, and she slowly deteriorated as the morning progressed. She's sleeping at the moment (as is Elisa), and I've cancelled her swim class for this afternoon. Poor wee mite. We had to return library books this morning, so I picked up some audio books for Brooke that she can listen to in bed this afternoon if she's interested. We also have a Dr Suess DVD from the Toy Library she hasn't seen yet, so no doubt that will also get played. Whatever keeps her quiet and resting.
