Lots of layouts

We've had some new designers join Sweet Shoppe Designs, so I got to scrap with a ton of beautiful new kits:

These next layouts are with Kay Miller's templates:

Gearing up for a busy month

Brooke's date with me for March was to shop for, and make dinner. She decided she wanted to cook Macaroni Cheese from scratch, and make a cheesecake for dessert. We shopped for the items on Friday, and did the baking on Saturday. She made the cheesecake first, which was easier than expected. I've never made one myself, so had to have faith in Petria's assurance that the Edmond's Cook Book was easy to follow. It was. We did that earlier in the morning so it had time to chill in the fridge. Later in the afternoon Brooke prepared a yummy salad (lettuce, tomatoes, carrot), cooked the macaroni cheese with ham, and prepared a raspberry soda.

The photos don't show her excitement - I think she's concentrating too much - but she really enjoyed the whole thing. She was so proud of her dinner, and it tasted soooooo yummy. She can now tick off one of her Faith In God requirements too.

Elisa's date with Dad was to go 10-pin bowling. Of course she was SO excited. Dad said she was ready to go home after 10 mins of bowling (isn't that always the way!) but they stayed for a decent amount of time and had lots of fun.

April is going to be so busy for us. School holidays start, Yvette and the boys are coming over, Easter, my kids will go stay with family for a week while I work, then we'll have a couple of McAnnalley kids come stay. Hubby's parents are then coming up for a week, ANZAC Day, Brooke has a netball practice and grading day, and then there's all the other little things that go on as part of April school holidays. It's going to be full on.
